VTG American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD11 LuxuryLiner aircraft display model manufactured by Pacific Miniatures of Fullerton, California.

This large presentation model features American Airlines’ classic polished silver livery with red, white and blue striping, detailed cockpit and passenger windows, three engines, winglets and the AA eagle logo on the vertical stabilizer.

The aircraft is mounted on a metal display support attached to a rectangular wooden base with an engraved brass presentation plaque.

The plaque reads:

“PRESENTED WITH OUR THANKS TO CAPTAIN DON L. WALSH ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM AMERICAN AIRLINES AUGUST 1, 1996”

The underside of the mounting hardware is stamped PACIFIC MINIATURES FULLERTON, CA 92633.

A genuine American Airlines retirement presentation piece commemorating Captain Don L. Walsh’s aviation career. The personalized plaque provides a documented presentation date of August 1, 1996.

The model measures 24 inches from nose to tail and is 1:100 scale.
