VINTAGE 1950s DENKERT RHT BASEBALL GLOVE G100 BILL VIRDON ENDORSED For Sale

This is a vintage leather baseball glove made in the 1950's. It has a facsimile (pre-printed) endorsement signature of Bill Virdon, who won "Rookie of the Year" in 1955 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of his career was spent with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The glove is marked, "DENKERT G100...PATENTED 6-19-1956. NO 2,750,594." This is a "Right Hand Throw" glove, intended to be worn on the left hand, so the player can throw with his right hand. The condition is GOOD. The top of the patent date is worn, but most of printing is clearly visible. The leather is strong and still soft. (It has not gotten firm or brittle.) There is some soiling, light stains and general wear. It has a bit of a musty smell and it could use a proper cleaning. The glove displays very nicely and is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
