This rare one of a kind, handcrafted tapestry commissioned in 2001 in Cape Town, was made using traditional South African Xhosa Tribal design and Xhosa Orange fabric with Black appliqued patterns. The vivid orange color is lighter than shown and is closer to the orange in the close up of the Xhosa couple outside their home.

This tapestry has many other uses such as a tablecloth or wall hanging, it can also be used as a throw, fabric, or shawl as seen in a photo above. It has many interior or clothing design options. The 70\" X 73\" round tapestry 100% Cotton Umbhaco thick, strong, durable and soft.

This rare one of a kind tapestry has been used for exhibition only.

There is one photo close up shown above that shows a very slight smudge so small that I had to darken the photo to show a close up.

Xhosa is the South African tribe of Nelson Mandela.
