Smokey Bear Patch Vintage 1975 Please Be Careful Prevent Forest Fires
This Smokey Bear patch is a fantastic piece of 1970s forest conservation memorabilia featuring Smokey with his shovel beneath the classic “Please Be Careful” and “Prevent Forest Fires!” message. This design dates to 1975, when it was distributed as a promotional item encouraging forest fire prevention. The embroidered artwork has wonderful period character, with pine trees, earthy greens and browns, and a vintage cheesecloth-style backing.
It makes a great addition to a Smokey Bear, U.S. Forest Service, conservation, camping, or outdoor memorabilia collection. Sew-on construction. Packed securely and shipped promptly!
