Up for sale is a classic piece of American grooming history: a Smith Brothers, Boston straight razor. This is a substantial 3/4" blade featuring a crisp Hollow Ground stamp on the face and a clean maker's stamp on the tang. Smith Brothers was a high-end Boston cutlery and hardware dealer active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, renowned for sourcing elite European steel blanks to stamp with their house name.

Condition & Details

The Steel: The blade is bright and structurally excellent. It shows a light, honest vintage patina with some minor aesthetic peppering near the pivot and toe, which does not affect the performance of the edge. No cracks, chips, or deep pitting.

The Scales: Classic black scales with secure brass pinning. The blade holds its position perfectly when opened and centers true without touching the scale walls when closed.
