Rare Vtg 1930’s Spun Cotton Santa Claus Ornament 5.5” Made In Japan Belsnickle For Sale

Up for sale is a beautiful, highly collectible piece of holiday history: an original 1930s pre-World War II spun-cotton Santa Claus Christmas tree ornament. Standing at 5.5 inches tall, this mid-sized export piece is a prime example of the exquisite craftsmanship coming out of Japan during the golden age of holiday manufacturing.

This ornament is in excellent vintage condition for being nearly a century old. The cotton batting remains sturdy with wonderful color retention on the tan coat. The hand-painted face remains bright and free of major cracking. There is minor, age-appropriate softening/patina to the white cotton trim as expected with authentic antique holiday textiles.
