RARE & HARD-TO-FIND VINTAGE RELCO SANTA “NOEL” CANDLE HOLDER SET — COMPLETE 4-PIECE SET WITH ORIGINAL BOX
A wonderful opportunity to acquire an exceptionally charming and increasingly difficult-to-find vintage Christmas collectible.
This RELCO Santa NOEL candle holder set includes all four individual ceramic Santa figures forming the letters N-O-E-L, each cleverly designed with an integrated candle cup. These whimsical mid-century Christmas pieces are highly sought after by collectors of vintage holiday décor, and complete sets can be difficult to find.
What makes this example especially desirable is that it includes the original illustrated Santa Noel box — a major collector bonus and something frequently missing from surviving sets.
The original box retains its colorful period graphics showing the complete NOEL arrangement and reads:
“SANTA NOEL – 4 PCS SET WITH CANDLES”
Complete examples with the original box are especially hard to find.
Condition:
The ceramic pieces are in very good vintage condition and display beautifully.
Complete 4-piece N-O-E-L set
No chips
No cracks
No repairs
Very little paint loss
Bright, attractive vintage colors
Original facial details remain crisp and appealing
Some residue on the bottoms appears to be museum putty / earthquake putty, likely previously used to secure the pieces while displayed
Original illustrated box included
The original box shows expected vintage storage wear, including edge wear, creasing, corner wear, and general surface wear consistent with age. The box is still highly desirable as the original packaging and significantly enhances the collectibility of the set.
Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
Each Santa is incorporated into one of the letters spelling NOEL, creating an unmistakably nostalgic Christmas display.
Rare Collector Appeal
These vintage RELCO Santa NOEL sets have become increasingly difficult to locate, particularly as a complete four-piece set.
Because of the fragile projecting candle cups, Santa heads, arms, and other delicate ceramic details, many surviving examples have suffered chips, breaks, repairs, or missing pieces over the years.
Finding a set that is:
complete, damage-free, minimally worn, and accompanied by its original illustrated box
is considerably more unusual.
This is the type of vintage Christmas collectible that appeals to collectors of:
RELCO holiday ceramics
Vintage Japanese Christmas collectibles
Mid-century Christmas décor
Santa Claus figurines
Vintage NOEL decorations
Retro holiday candle holders
1950s–1960s style Christmas décor
Rare boxed Christmas collectibles
The original box gives this set additional display, collector, and archival appeal.
Display:
The four pieces look wonderful arranged on a:
Christmas mantel
Holiday buffet
Dining room sideboard
Vintage Christmas display
Collector cabinet
Entry console
Seasonal tabletop vignette
The classic red-and-white Santa colors and playful letter forms have wonderful nostalgic Christmas character.
Shipping:
This rare set will be packed with exceptional care.
Each ceramic piece will be individually wrapped and cushioned. The original vintage box will also be carefully protected and will not be used as the shipping carton.
The complete set will be double-boxed for safer shipment.
Please note that candles are not included unless specifically shown as included in the photographs.
Closing Statement:
A rare, hard-to-find and highly collectible complete RELCO Santa NOEL candle holder set with its original box — an especially desirable example for the serious vintage Christmas collector.
