Rare Antique Art Deco Royal Rochester Electric Desk Fan (Model 15758)

Up for sale is a stunning, highly collectible piece of early 20th-century industrial design: a Royal Rochester Electric Fan (Model 15758) manufactured by the Robeson Rochester Corp. of Rochester, NY, dating back to the late 1920s / early 1930s.

Because Robeson Rochester specialized primarily in high-end porcelain appliances, their production run of electric fans was quite limited compared to giants like GE or Westinghouse, making surviving examples exceptionally rare.

Features a striking, hard-to-find octagonal wire cage and a heavily faceted, stepped geometric cast iron base.

Retains its original mottled green textured "wrinkle" finish on both the base and the four-blade assembly. The natural aged wear gives it incredible industrial character.

The iconic, crisp stylized "RR" center badge is completely intact, bright, and undamaged—often the first piece to go missing on these models.

The power cord has been cleanly removed at the base (a common practice with vintage electronics to prevent fire hazards from degraded, 90-year-old cloth wiring).

Mechanically Complete: The fan blades turn freely by hand, and the original wing-nut tilt adjustment on the neck functions perfectly. The octagonal cage is straight and structurally sound. The original paper specification label is still present on the underside of the base.
