An exceptional and highly collectible antique hand-embroidered map sampler of Ireland, presented in a fine 19th-century inlaid marquetry wooden frame (Killarney ware style).
Map samplers of Ireland are significantly rarer on the market than English or Welsh examples, making this a standout piece for collectors of historic cartography, Irish heritage, and early textiles.

Geographic Detail: Features hand-stitched outlines of Ireland’s four provinces (Ulster, Connaught, Leinster, Munster) along with historic county names including King’s Co. (now Offaly), Queen’s Co. (now Laois), and historic spellings like W. Meath and E. Meath.
Decorative Artistry: Upper corner features a delicate floral wreath tied with a ribbon, rendered in pastel silk thread. Coastlines and provincial borders are finely outlined in green and brown silk stem stitching.
Marquetry Frame: Housed in a handsome 18" x 15" period inlaid wooden frame featuring patterned border work typical of 19th-century Irish marquetry.
Provenance Marking: Retains an old sale/estate inventory tag (62457) on the upper rear frame edge.
