Photo DOVER SEA FRONT & PIER NO4 ENGLAND 1897 VICTRORIAN Magic Lantern Slide
One of a number of slides I am listing relating to Dover taken by an unknown amateur photographer. I would date this to 1897 based on similar dated and titled slides ( being sold seperately ) from this group relating to Queen Victorias Diamond Jubilee celebrations and parade held in Dover.
L639 N196If the slide is watermarked in the image ( blue \" \" ) it will not be watermarked when received - see photo 2 ←←←←←Our shop has over 25000photographicslides in it - please take a look for similar images←←←THE SLIDE IS APPROXIMATELY 8.2CM X 8.2CM OR IN INCHES 3.23\" X 3.23\"
The slide consists of two glass plates; the image is applied to the first and a second plate is used to protect the image. The slide normally has a inner paper border and then the slide is then held together with edging paper. Please be aware that as the slide can be photographed from both sides so the image in photo 1 may be reversed in error
