Rare Antique c.1915 French Limoges Judaica Passover Seder Plate
A beautiful and unusual early 20th-century Judaica Passover Seder plate, dating approximately to c.1910–1920, likely around 1915, and associated with the Limoges porcelain tradition of France.
The plate features a striking central scene depicting a Jewish family gathered around the Passover Seder table, surrounded by Hebrew inscriptions and Stars of David. Rich blue Hebrew lettering, delicate multicolor decoration, and elegant gold accents create an exceptionally decorative presentation.
Of particular interest, a closely related Limoges Seder plate featuring the same distinctive family Seder scene is documented in scholarly literature devoted to historic ceramic Seder plates. The published example is identified with a Limoges workshop in France and illustrates the same type of Eastern European Jewish family scene.
The reverse of this example carries a faded circular mark and a small gold inscription/mark. Because a clearly identifiable factory backstamp is not presently visible, the exact Limoges manufacturer is not definitively attributed in this listing.
