Original Soviet USSR Order for Personal Courage MedalSerial Number 1336 • Silver & Enamel • Authentic Soviet Decoration

Offered is an original Soviet Union (USSR) Order for Personal Courage (Орден «За личное мужество») bearing the exceptionally low serial number 1336.

Established during the final years of the Soviet Union, the Order for Personal Courage was awarded for acts of exceptional bravery, courage, and selfless service performed under dangerous circumstances. Decorations with very low serial numbers are significantly scarcer than later awards and are highly desirable among collectors of Soviet orders and decorations.

This authentic example features attractive multi-colour enamel, silver construction, and excellent original detail. The medal displays beautifully and represents an outstanding addition to any serious collection of Soviet, Cold War, or Russian military memorabilia.

Historical Background

The Order for Personal Courage was one of the final state decorations instituted by the Soviet Union and was awarded for exceptional bravery, heroism, and courage in protecting public order, saving lives, or performing hazardous duties.

Low serial number examples such as this are considerably more desirable than later-issued awards and are increasingly difficult to locate on today's collector market.
