While he worked for many years for the Climax Molybdenum Corporation at their famous Climax molybdenum mine in central Colorado, his later consulting career took him all over the world, evaluating mining and mineral processing projects in places ranging from North Carolina to Montana, Europe, and beyond. His collection, which was housed in the historical Wolf Tongue Tungsten Mill in downtown Nederland Colorado, is rich not only in fine and unusual minerals representing those three elements, but also in classic Colorado minerals, particularly from the Tungsten and Gold Telluride mines on Boulder County, close to his home.
