Murata Ujihisa (1821-1899) - Signed Envelope - Samurai of the Fukui domainSigned envelope measuring 5 x 2.75 inches. It was listed as being signed by Murata Ujihisa when purchased, but I cannot find anything to compare it to online.
Murata Ujihisa (1821-1899) was a samurai of the Fukui domain at the end of the Edo period, a politician and a bureaucrat in the Meiji period. He was a close friend of Hashimoto Sanai, and they talked about national affairs during the political instability at the end of the Edo period.
This is part of a large collection of autographs that I will be listing over the next couple of days.
