Content of the letter as follows:
\"London May 18, 1837, Capn. Paul A. Oliver, Hamburg, Dear Sir we have received your favor of the 25th instant and we are pleased to hear of your safe arrival your escape from the Havanna danger. We doubt not you may do well in that place at a later period, and to enable you to arrange your plans into effect we authorize you to draw on us for the cost of merchandise, which you may ship in the TIber, on your own account, and for your disbursements. The bills lading to be filled up to our order, freight free, went to us and insurance to be made by us here or by our agent Mr. Robert Sloope, Jr. In Boston. We shall expect you to inform us to whom you wish the bills lading to be sent. Y0u will find your account current enclosed & hope you will find it correct, remaining truly yr obt svt, T. Wiggin & Co.\"
