Absolutely spectacular large Katherine's Collection camel figurine with an incredible amount of hand-finished decorative detail. This is a substantial approximately 18" tall vintage camel featuring rich green velvet draping, elaborate saddle and tack, metallic gold braid and trim, decorative chains, jeweled/rhinestone accents, layered orange and cream fringe, faux fur detailing and a beautifully sculpted camel figure mounted on an integral display base.
The underside of the base is molded “2000,” establishing the production era of this piece.
The original manufacturer's hangtag is no longer present. Attribution to Katherine's Collection is based on the distinctive construction, materials, elaborate ornamentation and comparison with documented Katherine's Collection pieces from the same general era.This is exactly the type of highly theatrical, mixed-material decorative work for which Katherine's Collection is known. This is a vintage collectible from 2000 and is fantastic condition for being 26 years old.There are some condition issues consistent with age and previous display, including:
• a few small decorative beads/rhinestone accents are missing.
• The decorative chain/rein attachment on the camel's left cheek appears is broken and missing..
• Some fringe, threads and decorative trim show minor loosening/fraying.
• The base has areas of scuffing and paint wear along the edges.
• There are additional minor signs of age and handling throughout the decorative elements.
Please examine all photographs carefully. The photos are considered an important part of the condition description and show the actual camel you will receive.I have intentionally left the piece in its original condition rather than attempting a questionable repair or replacing missing decorative 18" tall.
