ABOUT THIS SANTA
Look closely and you’ll count five things painted on a panel three inches wide: the fox, the snow-laden tree with its ornaments, the gift and its ribbon, and three baubles on the ground. The purple one has spirals brushed inside it. The back is painted too: two teal panels of gold scrollwork ringed with white beads, and stars scattered over the red. A sprig of holly sits in the carved beard. Chisel work, brush work, signature and stamp, all by hand in our own workshop.
