LONG WAVE UV
Very interesting and attractive large chunk of green Jasper with a big patch of botryoidal, grey/clear-ish Chalcedony on one side. Dark green in color the Jasper resembles a Bloodstone Jasper minus the red colors, and aside from the patch of botryoidal Chalcedony there are a couple small veins of a bluish colored Chalcedony that have some banding to them. This might be considered a Jas-Agate piece but Ill leave it as just Jasper with Chalcedony.
This was part of a Lapidary rock collection I acquired a while ago, but the previous owner could not recall specifically where this piece came from originally, but thought Oregon.
Note that this is a fairly hefty piece that has some sharper edges, so handle with care.
The Chalcedony fluoresces a dim grey under 365nm long wave UV light (not pictured).
From Oregon?
560 grams.
11 cm length.
