Egyptian Antique Brass Sphinx - 1 owner for sixty-three years For Sale

Wonderful original Egyptian artifact.
You may have noticed a \"companion listing\" here on \"Vintage Mineral Fulgurite.\" This item was acquired from the Cairo Bazaar the same day - November 27th 1963. I bought it new just a couple of hours earlier. It remains exactly as it was all those years ago albeit with a few specks of brass-polish residue which do not detract from its original perfection. Just saying!:For its size - it\'s quite heavy (exactly 1 1/2 lbs). The sphinx itself is anchored to a 5\"X 2\" slab of Onyx
The last image is the glass cabinet it has been displayed in since 1976, while living in Sydney, Australia\'s Blue Mountains I bought this display item to replace a far smaller one. The sphinx is to the left on that lower shelf alongside the \'Fulgurite.\'
Be assured, this is a much higher quality artifact (Both the figurine and the base) than you will find among the more recent mass-produced modern \"souvenirs.\" most of which are no more \"Egyptian\" than my cat! You get what you pay for.
