Exceptional Monumental W. Hering Art Nouveau Pewter Vase — Children & Irises — 19 Inches Tall

A superb and highly decorative Art Nouveau pewter vase signed W. Hering, standing an impressive 19 inches tall and retaining its original removable insert/liner.

Richly modeled in high relief, the vase depicts a wonderfully imaginative naturalistic scene of children among frogs, blooming irises, reeds and waterside vegetation. The sculptural treatment, flowing botanical forms and whimsical aquatic imagery are quintessential Art Nouveau.

The substantial pewter body has a beautifully aged surface and strong sculptural presence. At 19 inches tall, this is a true statement piece rather than a small decorative vase.

Details: Signed W. Hering; Art Nouveau, early 20th century; pewter; approximately 19” high; original insert/liner present; children, irises and aquatic foliage; complete and in good antique condition with appropriate age-related patina.
