Antique pair of French Sevres Style Turquoise Porcelain Urns Bronze Base Gilt For Sale

An elegant pair of 19th Century French Sèvres-style porcelain decorative urns featuring a striking turquoise céleste blue glaze, hand-applied gilt decoration, and ornate bronze-mounted bases. Beautifully executed in the refined taste of the Napoleon III period, these decorative urns embody the sophistication and luxury associated with French decorative arts of the mid-to-late 19th century.

Each urn is crafted in a graceful baluster form with a long tapering neck surmounted by a matching lidded finial. The rich turquoise porcelain body is accented by delicate gilt foliate motifs, finely painted garland decoration, and elegant gilded borders. Particularly attractive are the sculpted gilt mask handles, modeled in the form of classical animal or lion heads, which add depth and architectural presence to the design.

The urns rest upon square bronze-mounted plinth bases, enhancing their visual impact and providing stability. The combination of vibrant céleste blue porcelain, gilded ornamentation, and bronze mounts reflects the influence of the celebrated Sèvres porcelain tradition and the decorative tastes of the Napoleon III era.

These sophisticated garniture-style urns are ideal for display on mantels, consoles, vitrines, sideboards, or within curated collections of fine French porcelain and European decorative arts. Their balanced proportions, elegant color palette, and classical detailing make them highly decorative statement pieces.
