Antique WWI Austro-Hungarian Military Group Photo Art Nouveau Jugendstil For Sale

The vintage photograph is overall in good condition for its age. The print retains a warm sepia tone. The decorative Jugendstil mat is complete with its intricate border but shows standard age wear, including minor fraying at the corners and edge scuffs (refer to high-resolution photos). No significant creases or tears to the central photograph.

This is an authentic early 20th-century European military group portrait, dating circa 1910–1920. The photograph captures a unit of soldiers (likely Austro-Hungarian, based on the Tschako caps and collar insignia) posed in multiple ranks. The artifact's most distinguishing feature is its original, elaborate Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) cardboard mat, which includes intricate stylized line work and star motifs. A rare find for collectors of WWI militaria or photography of the Art Nouveau period.
