Primitive Candle Chandelier
Lovely Colonial candelabra chandelier with sawtooth ratcheting height adjustment bar.Hand forged and unique.
This is from a primitive lamp collection in Virginia, USA (see our store for crusie, betty, grease and whale oil lamps of different shapes & sizes from this collection).
We aren't sure of the age of this chandelier, however the ratchet hanger is very distinctly a primitive style.We are leaving the condition as-found so you can decide how much you want to clean / restore it, if any.
It seems that it has been painted a few times in its history, with some white and some gold paint seen where some of the black has chipped away inside the candle wax drip catcher cups (see closeups).Wax residue is also present.
Measurements:Width at arms: 15 1/4"Hanging length: adjustable from 20" to 30"If you need more length, you can easily add black chain from your hardware store.
