Antique Victorian Scrapbook 1890s Ephemera Album 1897 Chromolithographs Vintage For Sale

Incredible antique scrapbook filled with original Victorian and early 20th century paper ephemera collected over many years. This is such a unique time capsule with a mix of colorful chromolithographs, illustrated story pages, newspaper clippings, portraits, advertisements, postcards, printed art and loose antique paper pieces.

The scrapbook includes material dating back to the 1890s, including a clearly dated December 1897 page from The Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News. There are also beautifully illustrated Alice in Wonderland and Aladdin story pages, antique advertising pieces, portrait prints, children’s illustrations, floral imagery and other decorative ephemera throughout.

This appears to have been assembled and added to over a long period of time, making it especially interesting as a historical paper collection rather than a scrapbook from one single year.

The album is heavily aged and shows significant wear consistent with its age. The spine/binding is partially broken and separated, and there are loose pages, loose pieces, edge tears, creasing, toning, staining and other age-related wear throughout. Some pieces appear pasted in while others are loose. Please review all photos closely for condition.

I have left everything exactly as found and have not removed or separated any of the ephemera.

Perfect for an antique paper collector, Victorian ephemera collection, historical display, prop styling, interior decor, collage artist, junk journal collector, antique shop display or someone who simply loves one-of-a-kind pieces of history.
