Antique Victorian Lithographed Tin Cat Kitten Toy Plate Daffodils 4.5” Rare For Sale

Antique Victorian Lithographed Tin Cat Toy Plate Daffodils 4.5” Rare

Wonderful antique Victorian-era child’s toy plate featuring a charming and highly expressive tabby cat surrounded by yellow and pink daffodils against a rich green background. The cat’s open mouth and little pink tongue give it wonderful personality. The unusual cat imagery makes this an especially appealing piece for a collection of antique toys, cat-themed items, or early lithographed tinware.

The plate is made of lightweight pressed metal with a colorful lithographed surface and measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter.

Condition is consistent with considerable age and use. There is scattered loss to the lithography and finish, along with surface wear, scratches, discoloration, oxidation, edge wear, and some dents or irregularities in the metal. The reverse shows substantial darkening, wear, and residue from an old label. Despite the wear, the cat remains wonderfully expressive and the rare design displays beautifully. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.

A scarce and delightful survivor of Victorian childhood with particularly desirable cat and floral imagery.

Measurements: Approximately 4.5 inches in diameter.

Included: One antique cat plate only. Any display materials are not included.
