Antique pre-owned Victorian leather photograph album containing a total of 75 historic family photographs.Features an exceptional, rare portrait of a man in full ceremonial fraternal uniform holding a sword, wearing a plumed hat, sash, and medal.Includes extensive genealogical value with historical pencil handwriting identifying key family members directly under photo windows.Identified family lines trace back to the prominent Velie, Van Wyck, and Uhl families of Poughkeepsie, New York.Features prominent individual portraits including Arthur Uhl Velie (1878–1961) and Carrie Van Wyck Velie (1875–1960).Includes a rare early double-portrait card showing young siblings Ira Velie (1874–1889) and Lizzie Velie (1879–1889) seated together.Features a fascinating early outdoor scenic photograph showing an identified historic building or schoolhouse with figures standing out front.Contains regional photographer imprints including Green\'s Studio on East Main Street in Meriden, Connecticut and C.H.
