Antique Victorian Staffordshire Copper Lustre Dancing Figures Pitcher / Jug – Blue Enamel – 8”Beautiful antique English copper lustre earthenware pitcher, believed to date to the late 19th century. This highly decorative jug features a brilliant metallic copper lustre finish with raised relief-molded dancing figures and vivid cobalt-blue enamel scroll and foliate accents.The pitcher has an elaborate molded scroll handle, shaped pouring spout, scalloped upper profile and raised circular foot. The combination of copper lustre, blue enamel and figural relief decoration is characteristic of decorative Staffordshire pottery produced during the Victorian period.Measurements: 8” high from base to top of handle; approximately 7⅛” high to tip of spout; approximately 6” body height to opening; approximately 4” diameter across top opening; approximately 7” from tip of spout to outermost portion of handle.Condition: Antique condition with age-related wear to the lustre and finish. There is a visible chip/loss at the edge of the pouring spout, shown clearly in photographs. Additional minor surface wear, marks and manufacturing irregularities are consistent with age.
