Antique Hammered Copper Cauldron Pot Fluted Ribbed Bail Handle Hearth Primitive For Sale

Item has not been cleaned or polished to preserve patina.Beautiful old copper vessel featuring a deeply rounded, lobed/fluted body, flared neck and substantial swing bail handle with decorative curled attachments.The copper has developed a wonderfully complex, untouched surface over time, ranging from warm copper tones to deep brown and darkened areas, with visible verdigris/oxidation to the interior. Hammering and irregularities throughout give the piece a distinctly hand-worked character.Approximately 7” high to the rim and 8” across the opening. Handle extends above the vessel when raised. Please refer to measurement photographs.Condition: Authentic aged condition with extensive patina, oxidation, verdigris, discoloration, scratches, surface wear, dents/irregularities and evidence of previous use.
