Antique French Style .800Silver Ribbon Wreath Photo Frame Wooden Back Decorative For Sale

This is a small upright desk frame in the neoclassical taste, with a cast ribbon-and-laurel-wreath crest at the top and a beaded and rope-twist moulded border. The metal is dark-patinated and appears to be .800 silver. The back is a wooden board held by four small metal turn-clips, with a tapered wooden easel strut that lets the frame stand upright. The front is glass.

Ornate cast crest, original wooden back and easel strut, and period turn-clips. It is suited to display of a small portrait, carte de visite, or cabinet card.
