Unusual antique Chinese brass water tobacco pipe measuring approximately 14 inches tall, featuring a rectangular water reservoir, long gracefully curved smoking stem with fixed mouthpiece, and removable cylindrical tobacco bowl.The underside bears a small worn stamped or incised character/symbol. It appears consistent with a stylized Chinese auspicious character, possibly 祿 / Lù, traditionally associated with prosperity, status and good fortune. The exact character and maker have not been definitively identified.Chinese brass water pipes of this general form are documented from the Qing Dynasty through the early 20th century.
