Condition:
Antique four-volume set in good overall condition for age. Brown cloth hardcovers show age-related rubbing, scuffing, edge and corner wear, staining/marks and wear at spine ends, with Volume 1 showing heavier wear at the upper spine. Gilt spine titles remain legible. Interiors show expected age toning and occasional spotting/marks. Multiple volumes contain matching previous-owner inscriptions dated 1902. Bindings appear intact. Volumes bear New York E. B. Treat and Fleming H. Revell publisher imprints. Several volumes contain matching handwritten previous-owner inscriptions dated 1902, establishing ownership of the books by the beginning of the 20th century.
