$120.00

**Historical Overview:**
This item is an authentic early-to-mid 20th-century commercial press print of a panoramic photograph originally copyrighted in 1898 by the commercial portrait studio McCrary & Branson (Knoxville, Tennessee). It is offered strictly as a historical artifact for educational preservation, academic research, and museum or archival collection purposes. **Physical & Visual Description:**
The print features a cool, silvery-gray/charcoal monochrome palette on an aged cream paper base. The composition depicts a wide panoramic view of children climbing over a wooden barrier near the water. **Technical Details & Medium:**
- Medium: Photomechanical halftone monochrome print on textured paper stock.
- Print Matrix: Structured mechanical halftone screen grid pattern visible under close macro-magnification across the figures and gradients, characteristic of period high-volume commercial publication or distribution methods.
- Reverse Side: Completely blank; features no modern watermarks, printing, or publisher markings on the back of the paper stock.**Inscriptions & Specifications:**
- Documented Caption: The lower center text area bears the period title block printed as: ❝“LAST ONE IN'S A NIGGER”❞
- Visible Art Dimensions: 22” x 10 1/2”
- Frame Dimensions: 23“ x 11 1/2”
- Provenance/Framing Markings: Housed in a vintage black wooden display frame. The reverse side retains an original gallery label from "The Framesmith" workshop (Pittsburgh, PA area), hand-dated May 18, 1989, and signed by the technician.**Condition Report:**
- Print & Paper: Very Good. The printed image remains crisp with sharp contrast and is completely free of foxing, fading, or moisture damage. Natural, uniform age-toning is present across the paper stock, visible primarily along the outermost margin borders near the frame line.
- Frame & Glass: Good. Housed securely under glass in a solid black wooden frame. The frame is structurally tight but exhibits minor superficial shelf wear and light scuffing along the outer edges consistent with age.
- Reverse Backing: Fair to Good. The protective brown paper dust cover on the reverse has a partial cosmetic tear, but the heavy internal backing board remains fully intact, flat, and securely sealed.
