authentic late Victorian-era octagonal
Sorrento ware wood trinket box. The
exterior features a rich, highly figured
burl wood veneer finish. The center of
the lid showcases a classic, finely
detailed micro-marquetry micro-inlay
medallion depicting a winged cherub/
putto driving a two-headed goat chariot
over green terrain, framed by a
delicate gold-toned border stringing.The interior is plain, clean, unlined
light wood, featuring an early-style
plain brass hinge. The base is smooth,
unvarnished wood with a natural age
patina. **Dimensions (Approximate):**4 in length and 2 in height**Condition Report:**This item is in beautiful antique

year age. The lid veneer displays
some minor hairline surface crackling
