Antique 18th / 19th Century Italian Trapani Silver & Coral Scent Bottle

This is an extremely unusual Italian, probably Trapani, silver & coral mounted scent bottle. Raised on 3 of the original 4 carved & turned coral & silver legs. The body in amphora form is profusely decorated with relief foliate scrolls. Two bezel set carved coral cameos & naturalistic branch arms. The lid is mounted with a coral finial which unscrews to release the dipper.

CONDITIONmissing one coral leg, the hinge needs repair to one of 3 hinge knuckles - as per images

The overall condition is as you would expect from an object of substantial age that has been displayed/handled/used, usually over the lifetimes of several owners.
