This flag features a canvas hoist marked with the original production size "5 x 8".Based on the original cloth "Sterling" manufacturer label from Annin & Co. (America’s oldest premier flag maker) and the machine-sewn zigzag appliqué stitching on the cotton stars, this piece accurately dates between 1906 and the 1920s.

Construction Details: Field/Stripes: Open-weave 100% double-warp wool bunting fabric.

Stars: Individual 5-point white cotton stars attached via a robust industrial zigzag stitch.
Header: Heavy canvas hoist stamped with the dimensions 5 x 8.
