A pair of brass cherub and crackle glass hurricane candle holders by India House For Sale

Makers in India produced decorative brass and glassware items like these for the global giftware market during the late twentieth century. These pieces were manufactured to provide affordable home accent decor with a romantic or classical motif for everyday interior styling. The items were assembled using cast brass components combined with mouth-blown crackle glass shades that underwent thermal shock to achieve their webbed texture.Homeowners placed these candle holders on tabletops, mantels, and sideboards to create soft ambient lighting during dining or relaxation. They were utilized with small votive candles or tealights set inside the protective glass chimneys to shield the flame from drafts. Over time, changing interior design trends shifted away from traditional brass decorative accessories toward minimalist home furnishings, concluding the widespread production of this specific aesthetic.
