1953 Loyola University Stein, School crest, Cudahy Hall, Eric Mihan Germany For Sale

A rare circa 1953 Eric Mihan Loyola University stein.Commissioned by Princeton NJ bookseller Eric Mihan between 1951 and 1958, thesesteins were made in Germany for a number of schools, probably in runs of 50 or100, making them much more scarce than the Wedgwood plates. Occasionally, Mihandidn\'t produce the steins, but sold the designs to other parties. This one ismarked COPYRIGHT 1953 by ERIC P. MIHAN. This 8 1/2 inch stein still has itspewter hinged lid . The stein bears 3 cartouches, the School Logo, CudahyScience Hall, and school crest. There is a what appears to be a \"G\" or \"C\" followed what appears to be 51 or 54 (see last two photos) Excellent shape with minor crazing near the top.University steins from this period come up very rarely on .
