Original 1888 wholesale merchant billhead and invoice from Wm. D. Cleveland & Co., Wholesale Grocers and Cotton Factors located at Main & Commerce Streets in Houston, Texas (Cleveland Building). Dated February 8, 1888, and billed to Schulenberg. The extensive multi-line handwritten itemized list includes various dry goods and provisions such as rice, tobacco (Tobe), lye, coffee, caddy black tea, matting, salmon, green peas, lima beans, poppy seed, lentils, washboards, powder, cream corn, soda, plug tobacco, Shaker pipes, and French prunes, with a total amount due of 93.51 including drayage and packing. Measures approximately standard invoice size with vintage edge wear and folds typical of 19th-century commercial documents.
