Here is an original page ( leaf ) from the first edition of the King James bible. It is beautifully framed both frontANDback so you can read both sides. Includedis a laser copy of the Title Page as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.I had this in my pastor office for many years and now it needs a new home.The page is one of the very rare New Testament pages , from First Corinthians.
It is printed on rag paper so does not show yellowing as with an old newspaper. The type setting is clear and crisp. There is a large woodcut initial. There are 59 lines of type in two columns.
The King James Version of the Bible, released in 1611, was authorized by King
James in order to have as accurate a translation as possible, which could be printedand widely circulated.
