11 Vintage East German Mercury Glass Christmas Ornaments Reflectors Finials Box

Description

Eleven vintage blown mercury glass ornaments from East Germany, displayed in their original partitioned cardboard box. The box is marked “Made in German Democratic Republic.” One of its 12 compartments is empty.

This colorful collection has the deep, luminous shine that makes vintage ornaments so special. It includes concave reflector ornaments made to catch the tree lights, along with bell, teardrop, finial, and embossed bauble shapes. Look for the bold magenta and silver bands, emerald green and turquoise glass, ruby red and warm gold accents, glitter-dusted floral sprigs, and sugar-textured mica frosting.

A beautiful group for a mid-century Christmas display, an aluminum tree, or a collection of vintage German glass ornaments.

Condition: All 11 ornaments are structurally sound, with no cracks, chips, or breaks noted. They show light vintage wear, including minor silvering loss and lacquer wear. The period metal caps and hanging loops remain firmly attached. The original 12-slot box and tissue show age and storage wear. Please review the photos for details.

Each ornament will be wrapped individually and cushioned in its divided tray, then packed securely in a sturdy outer carton for shipping.
