🇬🇧 WWII British Army Fibre Dog Tag – FINLAYSON 240123 RC – WWII ID Disc For Sale

Description:
This is an authentic World War II British Army fibre ID disc, stamped for FINLAYSON, service number 240123, with the religion code RC (Roman Catholic). During WWII, the British Army issued these red compressed-fibre discs to Soldiers as part of their official identification system. Unlike WWI sets—which used one red disc and one green disc—WWII examples frequently appear individually, especially when separated from the aluminum secondary disc during service.

These fibre tags were lightweight, heat-resistant, and intentionally non-metallic so they would not corrode in field conditions. Each disc was hand-stamped, giving every Soldier’s tag its own character and appearance.

Features:

• Genuine WWII British Army / Commonwealth ID disc

• Stamped: FINLAYSON

• Service number: 240123

• Religion: RC (Roman Catholic)

• Material: Red compressed fibre (cardboard)

• Classic WWII style circular disc

• A highly collectible piece of WWII British militaria
