Overview:This is a polished boulder opal with sparkling blue flecks. This boulder opal from Koroit, Queensland, features a pattern created by opal and iron ore. It has been cut into a slab and polished.
This product is a split rough stone, created by splitting one piece into two. What's more, both pieces are double-faced, allowing you to see the pattern on both the front and back. This is an opal that you can enjoy on all four sides, making it a great value.
The smaller specimen even has a small hole, making it fun to look at.
Unlike a polished loose stone, the beauty of specimens is that they combine the brilliance of opal as a gemstone with its mineral side.
