🥓 Secrets of Haunted House #5 CGC 9.2 OW/W Pages Bernie Wrightson Halloween For Sale

🥓 The Sizzle

Stay Crispy, True Believer — because October has a way of making certain books feel like they were born for this exact moment. This is one of them. Secrets of Haunted House #5, December 1975, with a Halloween pumpkin cover by Bernie Wrightson the same Bernie Wrightson who had just handed DC one of the most important horror comics ever made with House of Secrets #92 barely three years earlier. The man knew how to make darkness feel like it had weight.

And here he is again, cover duties on DC's rotating house of horrors, delivering exactly what the season demands: no cape-and-cowl superheroics, no cosmic stakes, just dread dressed up in orange and black and shadow. This is also the last issue edited by Joe Orlando, the man who shepherded the early DC horror line and understood better than almost anyone what a good anthology needed to breathe. Issue #5 sits at the end of an era and the beginning of another. High grade. Perfect pages. The right book at the right time of year. 'Nuff Said 🥓

Slab condition is excellent with only the usual minor scuffs that are the result of CGC's holdering process.

Please do not refer to 's default description for the condition of the books— the description options they provide as a default is wildly inaccurate.

💹 Pricing

I try to price my books as fairly as possible based on current market value. Sometimes that means matching FMV, sometimes a bit above, and sometimes you might snag a great deal. The market shifts constantly, especially right now, so pricing isn't always perfect—but I'm always open to reasonable offers and happy to work with fellow collectors.
