This is one of those specimens you can stare into forever. An extremely interesting Smoky Elestial / Skeletal Quartz from Balochistan, Pakistan with excellent clarity and incredible three-dimensional growth.

Several intergrown terminated points rise through the specimen, surrounded by deeply etched skeletal faces, stepped growth and open recessed areas that create an almost crystal-cathedral architecture.

What really makes this one special is the transparency. You can look deep through the quartz and see additional growth structures, internal crystal forms and warm natural clay inclusions suspended throughout the specimen.

In sunlight it shifts from nearly clear champagne quartz into warmer golden-smoky areas, while the clay adds flashes of earthy orange and brown between the crystal layers.
