Vintage Belmont Winking Lion Cookie Jar Ludowici Celadon 1940\'s Granny Core For Sale

Vintage Belmont Winking Lion Cookie Jar Ludowici Celadon 1940\'sThis is a cold painted piece. Cold paint was applied after the glaze and therefore a lot of the paint wore off with normal use as you see on this jar. There are no chips or cracks although you might see a little crazing and a darker discoloration on the bottom. Over all this jar is in really good condition for it\'s age.
Made by Belmont Pottery Company sometime in the 1940\'s.
He is 11 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches in diameter and the opening is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. These dimensions are approximate as it is kinda hard to measure this guy because of his shape.
