Pieter Ten Cate (c1868-1937) Major Listed Artist Original Oil Impressionist Landscape Painting. Antique c1900\'s-1925 Original Oil ON Panel Impressionist Landscape Painting. Fantastic Hand Carved Wood Gold Toned Art Deco Frame. The frame at the bottom portion (please look at pictures) has a slight crack in wood from settlement and age. EXCELLENT CONDITION! Known as Pieter ten Cate Scherpenzeel 1868 Zutpken 1937. He trained in the Hague Fine Arts Academy, Student of GH Breitner, Hendrik Pol and WB Tholen. The artist lived and worked between c1868-1937 in De Wjik, Hague, Amsterdam, Zutphen and Enschede, where he stayed with his sister Diny Cate.
