- No longer production
- Used, but it has not been used much.
- Removed a small rust.
- Double-edged blade.
- Blade: 65mm (2.56in) Wide (lower) x 112mm (4.41in) Tall,used.
- Chip-breaker: 57mm (2.24 in) Wide x 56mm (2.21 in) Tall, used.
- Wood Bottom Dai: 81mm (3.19in) Wide x274mm (10.79 in) Length x 34mm (1.34in) Thickness, used.
- Dai-sole was a little deformed due to long-term storage, so I used sandpaper to smooth it out, which resulted in a slight reduction in the thickness of the Dai.
- Dai-sole was tuned in two-touch points.
- Original package Box
Photograph-5&6 shows.
- Normal blade-mouth.
- Blade-mouth is focused at the condition of shooting a video and planing the wood (Phot-2$3) .
- Surface of the Dai-sole is tuned in two-touch point.
Inmy video, I performed planing a SPF wood timber using Nitta Shirou. Asa result of fine tuning of Dai-sole and sharpening the bladeedges, and because of the weight of Kanna, when I just pulling the Kanna backwards without press it down force, the blade edges bites into the material surface, shaving leaped out from Kanna were very thin like a silkfabric.
Whenyou buy a used Kanna you have to set up it to planning in smoothly byyourself. Not only sharpening the blade-edge, but also reshape theblade, also sharpening the chip-breaker blade (counter-blade) andtune the sole of wood bottom “Dai”. It took a few days to havethese tuning.
Ifyou have Kanna for the first time you might be confused because ofmany things to do. (See the below website)
Nowyou have a chance to get ready-to-use. As soon an the Kanna arrives, you can use it but you should re-sharpen the blade from time to timeto maintain its sharpness.
