This Bonaventure Cemetery 2024 Calendar is the first of its kind and was made lovingly in Savannah with special care from 4 local photographers and one Bonaventure Cemetery storyteller of 21 years, Shannon Scott. No fly by night project! Savannah College of Art & Design Professor, Dick Bjornseth, spent years photographing Bonaventure day and night along, same going for Shannon Scott who has 32 years of exploring Bonaventure Cemetery. With the talents of Alissa Nicholson of Forest City of The South and her nearly 2 decades of capturing the soul of Bonaventure in photography, writing, painting and drawing, in conjunction with designer/artist, Megan Morgan who has worked tirelessly documenting Bonaventure for YouTube & Tik Tok\'s \"Grave Talks,\" this has been an undertaking of great devotion!
To make The Beauty of Bonaventure 2024 Calendar more locally connected to Bonaventure, other than moon phases and standard holiday dates, the team has added notable birthdates, death dates of those buried in Bonaventure along with the names of sculptors who invested their craft in the cemetery in both the 19th and 20th centuries!
As far as the feel good factor, a portion of each calendar sale goes to The Cemetery Angels, Inc which focuses on cemetery preservation, education, events and their overall embetterment across Georgia.
