This was purchased at an estate sale. I did some research and the saw is used in skull surgery, called a Hey\'s Saw. This is pre Civil War or Civil War era. The saw measures approximately 7 1/4\" long. It is marked SNOWDEN and looks in great shape. The dark spots are reflection. There is a tiny wear spot on the edge of the metal handle and looks like someone has scratched initials in the side of the handle. I do not charge a handling fee if there is an amount it is for insurance on the item.
