A neat Civil War era medical tool, known as a bleeder or fleam.Has a brass body and is marked Snowden. The lever would be locked up and pressing the brass button would forcefully release it allowing the blade to penetrate. Very glad we have surpassed this form of medicine.Has some wear overall. The catch does not quite work. Comes with a fitted box.
